ZEROS, inc. of Highlands, Texas was asked to make a technical presentation on it’s ZEROS Energy System Process to the State of Florida and Miami-Dade County administrative and environmental officials. This presentation followed the company and one of it’s licensees being granted endorsement from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection that said the Electrical Energy Generating System did not require State Approval Permits for Air Quality or Solid Waste for the System to be constructed or operated.

Mr. Pedro Hernandez, P.E., Senior Assistant to the County Manager for Dade County, said that this technology presented a cost effective solution to several large environmental problems that the County faces. "The fact that the process can go straight to construction will cut three to five years off the commissioning process for plants to come on line" Hernandez said. Also, "this will reduce the considerations where energy plants can be placed thereby delivering more power where it is needed."

According to Alvin Robinson, Assistant Director of Disposal Operations, for the Miami-Dade County Waste-to-Energy Plant, "we receive over fifteen thousand tons of scrap tire per year that we cannot process through our existing plant because the material has to many BTU’s per pound for our system to handle. This would be an immediate solution to that problem."

The value of the review by the State of Florida means that any area in the Nation that is experiencing electrical energy shortage problems can now put systems and Kilowatts into the system without adverse environmental impact. Mr. Steve Clark of ZEROS, inc., who is the inventor of the technology, also met with financial representatives of local institutions. Mr. Ernesto De La Fe, Managing Director of Americas Region for Lehman Brothers, Inc. said that "the financial markets were looking very seriously into the technology not only for the benefit of the communities they represent with Bonds supporting generating plants but also other areas such as the viability the system has for using fuels like lignite coal that can no longer be used in many other type generating facilities."

ZEROS, inc. is moving forward with the deployment of the technology with several Utility Co-ops and companies.
